I’d like to thank all the soldiers and their families for all the sacrifices they have made so we can be here today.

If it wasn’t for people like Amy’s great uncle then I may have ended up being born under a communist regime living in absolute squalor with a despot as my “leader”…

I’d like to think my life is worth the sacrifices that have been & continue to be made on my behalf. So that I can still be FREE. And enjoy the freedoms that come with living here in Canada.

And to all the others who have served, past and present, I wish I could shake your hands and say “Thank you”.

I appreciate what you have done to keep our country safe and for the countless sacrifices you have made in doing so.

I appreciate that you have worked so hard for the freedoms of all, foreign & domestic, and know that those sacrifices were not made in vain.
